Lap swimming

Our pool is heated through all seasons and lap swimming lanes are available throughout the week. Check our Pool Lane Schedule for availability.

Please follow the suggestions in our lane etiquette to enjoy a safe swim session.

 

Kids swimming lessons

Teaching your kids to swim and be safe around water is a priority. Friends Health & Fitness runs the nationally recognised Royal Life Saving Society Swim & Survive program:

  • 3yrs to adult
  • Swimming, water safety, survival and basic rescue skills
  • All instructors are Austswim, CPR certified and have a Working with Vulnerable People Clearance.

School Holiday Programs

Reinforce your children’s swimming skills with our popular holiday swim programs. We hold consecutive day programs during Hobart school holiday periods. We suggest you book in advance to secure a spot.

Adult swimming lessons

Novice

A learn to swim level for beginner adults who would like to improve their confidence in and around the water.

The lesson looks at floats, kicking and introduces arms for freestyle and backstroke.

Suited to swimmers unable to swim 25 metres.

Intermediate

Adults who have confidence in water but would like to develop basic swimming skills to be able to swim 25 – 50 metres.

Swimmers must be able to swim 25 metres.

Advanced

Competent swimmers who are looking to develop their stroke technique and increase distance. Classes aim towards continuous lap swimming.

Swimmers should be able to swim 50 metres.

Relax in the spa/steam room

Take time to relax and recharge in our large 10-person spa and steam room. Access included with all adult swim memberships. Casual visits are available.
